Kim Savage is a higher education advocate who has dedicated her career to facilitating success for college students by working for accessible, affordable educational opportunities. Savage served on the Illinois Student Assistance Commission from 2011-2019 and was an elected trustee for the College of DuPage from 2009-2015. Kim is the Co-President of Illinois Democratic Women and Chair of the Downers Grove Township Democratic Organization. She served as President of the Democratic Women of DuPage County, as well as the Campaign Liaison and Vice President. Savage has served the Democratic Party as Precinct Committeeman, candidate for State Representative and for Township Trustee. She has also assisted on many local and statewide political campaigns. Savage is a life member of the Lemont Area Historical Society where she has been a volunteer. She also has served on the Board of Directors for the 1000+ member Alford American Family Association. Savage earned a degree in mathematics at North Central College in Naperville. She has a Master of Education in College Student Services Administration from Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. She has over 35 years of experience in the public sector with a proven record of leadership and creative problem-solving.
